OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the moon's orbital path wasn't tilted to the ecliptic plane how often would we get solar eclipses?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

If there was no tilt then the sun, earth and moon would always lie on the same plane. An eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the earth and the sun. The period of the moon's orbit is approx 28 days (look it up for more accuracy)....

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

i think, this is just general knowledge, they would be total. cos of the geometry.
