Perimeter help?? A rose garden is designed by joining a rectangle and a semicircle, as shown below. The rectangle is 29ft long and 19ft wide. If the gardener wants to build a fence around the garden, how many feet of fence are required? (Use the value 3.14 for π, and do not round your answer. Be sure to include the correct unit in your answer.)

You basically need to find the perimeter of the rectangle minus the one side connected to the circle and add that to half of the circumference of the circle. If you still need help in here :)
okay so lets first find the area of the rectangle ? so 19x29
then the area of a circle is |dw:1455839928958:dw|
then we will half it because its a semi circle
the diameter of the circle is 19 so half would be the radius which is 9.5
so 3.14 x 9.5^2
so 3.14 x 90.25
283.385
REMEMBER: we need to half this because of the semi circle
141.6925 is the area of the semi circle
and the area of the rectangle is 19x29=551 so 141.6925+551= 692.6925 <- is the final area
