OpenStudy (ashash146):

Who says the following and why? Can't afford them, Governor. Neither could you if you was as poor as me. Not that I mean any harm, you know. After explaining that he would ask for 50 pounds if Higgins's and Pickering's intentions were not honorable, Doolittle responds to the charge that he has "no morals." Doolittle is explaining to Higgins and Pickering why he wasn't able to give Liza and her mother "all of the little things that turn a woman to prudishness and respectability." Freddy is explaining why he can't afford a cab for his mother and sister.

OpenStudy (kaylil-):

isnt it doolittle that says the first line of that, so not really sure what you're asking as it says that she said that in your question, "Doolittle is explaining" & " Doolittle responds to the charge that" ?

OpenStudy (ashash146):

those are the two choices. idk which one is it. there were 4 originally, but i crossed them out @Kaylil-
