OpenStudy (tennis5518):

What a Ambassador?

OpenStudy (tennis5518):

@poopsiedoodle

OpenStudy (tennis5518):

@Whitemonsterbunny17

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Ambassadors are one step down from mods. They don't really have any powers (although there is an update coming that may change that), and are supposed to welcome new users and uphold the rules and whatnot.

OpenStudy (tennis5518):

Oh how old are we suppose to be a ambassadors?

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

pretty sure it's 13 and bove.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

above*

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

That's correct.

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

The goal of an ambassador is to respect other users while being a spokesperson for the site. They are to demonstrate the actions that a user should follow. They are to be welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable on the workings of the site. They are to stay active and most importantly demonstrate appropriate behavior to the other users. Ambassadors show users how to act. They are kind of like an ideal "OpenStudier." They are the front lines for new users and should take users under their wings while teaching them how to use the site responsibly.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Correct^ :D

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Ambassadors are representatives of OpenStudy. We answer questions from new users. We welcome and greet users. It's our job to be the embodiment of OpenStudy's ideologies. Before I go any further, there are strict requirements you must meet. ◘ Be thirteen or older ◘ Have a form of ID - excluding a birth certificate ◘ Have no serious offenses on your record ◘ If you have serious offenses, an additional process may be required ◘ Have read the Code of Conduct and Terms, and understand the rules Do you meet these requirements? If so, then please read the next part of the process. There are some key behaviors that Ambassadors must express ◘ As an Ambassador, you agree to always be kind and understanding ◘ As an Ambassador you should let users know you appreciate them ◘ Congratulate and reward positive behavior, and discourage negative behavior ◘ Lead by example! ◘ Respect the staff - never talk ill of OpenStudy ◘ Never disclose personal information if shared with you Do you feel like Ambassadorship is something you would want to do? Do you want a bright future with OpenStudy? Then become an Ambassador! [NOTE: The application, or form, is often subject to change. A message will be posted in either the Ambassador Group or OpenStudy Feedback with details on how to submit an application] You can contact @compassionate , @thomaster , @shrutipande9 , @ashleyisakitty or @hartnn for additional Ambassador opportunities. form link: https://docs.google.com/a/openstudy.com/forms/d/14kZejqKJuYBxuRCxCjwa-rAUtScOYB6KTlrZDmYLTGM/viewform http://blog.openstudy.com/2014/01/30/openstudys-diplomatic-corps http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/5500a830e4b0dc5d8bd5db63-e.mccormick-1426110412484-iwannabeanambi.pdf

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

@Tennis5518 If you are of proper age and interested, I can refer you to the person who can help you along your path to ambassadorship! His name is @Compassionate

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Right on @jagr2713 ! Great post!

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

:D

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Very "internie" of you ;)

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

I heard that Ambassadors perform secret rituals in an unknown chatroom at approximately 4:20am every day o-o Legend says that owl feathers, fairy dust and unicorn horns are used in the ceremony. The magic that is performed there is power beyond compare...

pooja195 (pooja195):

Totally.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Man pleasers

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Here's just one piece of evidence.

OpenStudy (tennis5518):

Than what a (Global Intern)

OpenStudy (tennis5518):

@jigglypuff314

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Also a man pleaser.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Not quite sure what the duties are of a global intern, or how one gets appointed as one. "Man pleaser" is not a valid definition for global intern or ambassador.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Basically the duty of a Global Intern is to promote OS and get users to come on the site mainly. Like spreading the word about OS etc

OpenStudy (tennis5518):

OH that explains a lot I just came here one month so, I don't really know but thank you now I know!!!

OpenStudy (conqueror):

No problem

OpenStudy (tennis5518):

Not you lol @conqueror

OpenStudy (conqueror):

;)
