the cumulative frequency is the sum of the frequency column the first frequency should be 6 because the sum (up to that point) is 6 the 2nd row shows the sum is 23, and that means the first row + 2nd row is 23 first row is 6 so you figure out 6+ x = 23 add -6 to both sides to get x= 23-6 = 17 the 2nd entry is 17 now do the next row 23+ what number gives 32
