Factor 3x^2 - 8x + 4. Question 2 options: (3x - 4)(x - 1) (3x - 2)(x - 2) (3x - 4)(x + 1) The polynomial is prime.
do u know the quadratic formula?
have u been taught?
@MtH pls respond..
The answer is (3x-2)(x-2)
pls don't give direct answers @BEATZDJ ..instead we must help arrive at the answer..
To check it, do it reversible....this is how you do it: 1.Multiply 3x by x in the second parenthesis 2.Multiply 3x by -2 in the second parenthesis 3.Multiply -2 from the first parenthesis by x in the second parenthesis 4.Multiply -2 from the first paren. by -2 in th sec parenthesis
I am not @priyar I was going to explain it
After all that, you combine the like terms
give clues first. then explain. make them understand and arrive at the answer by themselves.. that will only help them in the long run..
it will look like this after you do the steps: 3x^2 - 6x - 2x + 4 Combine like terms: 3x^2 -8x + 4 !!!!! Walla!!!
Some people can only work backwards.....lol.....i have my own way of answering people but I can also be patient and give them clues, however, some people who asks questions may be desperate
so I give them answer first then explain how to get them...they can still learn anyways from it
Anyways, please forgive me if i did anything wrong...i only did what i think i should've done. I know giving just the answers wont help people, so thats y i explain after
Okaat @Mth when you factor this think of it this way what times what equals 3x^2
And than once you figure that out, what times what equals 4 and adds up to -8
@BEATZDJ its ok! np!
