i need help with my math plz help

OpenStudy (priyar):

whats the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ask your questions

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

whats B

OpenStudy (priyar):

what is your approach so far?any ideas?

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

this is the real question ive done a and c but cant figure out b What are the measures of Angles a, b, and c? Show your work and explain your answers.

OpenStudy (priyar):

What property did you use to find a?

OpenStudy (priyar):

If you notice,a,b and the right angle marked in the figure are the angles of a triangle. That should tell you something

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

angle A is vertical so it's equal to 35 so A=35

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

ya i know its in a triangle i just cant figure out what b is

OpenStudy (priyar):

And what is the sum of angles in a triangle equal to?.

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

180°, π radians

OpenStudy (priyar):

so you know a+b+90=180,and you know a=35;so b=?

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

B=55 then

OpenStudy (priyar):

that is right

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

can you help me with a couple more

OpenStudy (priyar):

sure

OpenStudy (priyar):

just tell me where exactly you're stuck..with the previously found values..and btw...you should post each new question separately

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

An image of a prism is shown below: A square prism is shown. Part A: A cross section of the prism is cut with a plane parallel to the base. What is the name of the shape created by the cross-section? (5 points) Part B: If a cross section of the prism is cut diagonal to the base, what would be the shape of the resulting cross section? (5 points)

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

i am really not good with with this

OpenStudy (priyar):

These type of questions are just about imagining the situation correctly...a square prism is just a cuboid...do not get thrown off by the complicated words...

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

ya but im not good at cutting the prism

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

and if i dont get these right i fail math

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

can u just tell me

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

you there ???

OpenStudy (priyar):

yeah! give me a mo.

OpenStudy (priyar):

Just imagine that you have a sharp square metal piece...that will be the plane and parallel to base looks like this:

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

i really need the answer plz just tell me

OpenStudy (priyar):

i am assuming that the base is the square..

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

so the anwser is square for A but whats B

OpenStudy (princess_shadow_sob):

@priyar

OpenStudy (priyar):

good! did u read the explanation in my pic? are u able to visualise ? i have spent quite some time on it so u can understand better. :)

OpenStudy (priyar):
