I think OS should add a Debate Section.

I personally think that has its pros and cons. Everyone has their own opinions, and yes, I agree with @mayankdevnani, it may turn into a spam post. OS users may want to get their way and persuade someone into believing them by going on and on about something which would be pushing it against the Code of Conduct. Although, if others would be able to respect ones belief, I think that's an awesome idea!

I agree, I just thought it would be a good idea. Some people are in Debate in school, and I know that I need ideas for debates that I have to bring in. Just suggesting things(:

Although a debate section would be very interesting, understand that most of our users are still teenagers. A lot of disrespect and immaturity would occur in a section like that. Also, it's not exactly "educational" through most perspectives. I would enjoy a section like that, but it's probably left better with forums, not study sites like ours. :)

Yeah, this is a great idea, but it would be a broad section. Maybe there could be subtopics in debating those exist for chemistry and math already. possibly, anything not related to the topic section could be considered spam.

This was suggested over and over again and the idea ends up being tossed due to the fear of the debate turning into a cyberfight rock n sock em robots.
