OpenStudy (megwatskies):

what do you think?

OpenStudy (kaylil-):

complex sentence: a sentence containing a subordinate clause or clauses. simple: a sentence of only one clause, with a single subject and predicate. compound: a sentence with more than one subject or predicate. compound complex: a sentence having two or more coordinate independent clauses and one or more dependent clauses. based of these what do you think best describes the sentence?

OpenStudy (megwatskies):

"My friend is excited for the concert" is an idependent clause "she has to leave early" is an independant clause. "but" is a coordinating conjunction that ties two independents together. "because she has to be home by 10" is a dependant clause sooooo what do you think?
