Which of the following measures of spread are based on the mean? Check all that apply: A. Interquartile range B. Range C. Standard deviation D. Variance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agent47 can you help me please

OpenStudy (agent47):

Standard deviation is based on the mean, and variance is based on standard deviation i believe. I don't think range has anything to do with the mean, but I don't remember about the interquartile range. You'd have to get someone else to verify this.

@Agent47 do you know anyone on here that could help me

OpenStudy (agent47):

@agent0smith @SolomonZelman might know

@agent0smith can you help me?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

IQR doesn't depend on mean. Neither does range.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be C. Standard deviation? @agent0smith

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

See @Agent47's answer too.

OpenStudy (agent47):

Variance is based on STD and if STD is based on mean, what is Variance based on?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agent0smith do you know what variance is based on?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

See the last post by @agent47. Diana here from agency. Nice work, 47.
