Suppose that the weight (in pounds) of an airplane is a linear function of the total amount of fuel (in gallons) in its tank. When graphed, the function gives a line with a slope of 6.1 . See the figure below. With 50 gallons of fuel in its tank, the airplane has a weight of 2205 pounds. What is the weight of the plane with 19 gallons of fuel in its tank?

I have to find the angle of the graph?

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

linear relationship between weight & amount of fuel (y-2205)=m(x-250) according to question m=6.1 therefore linear relationship (y-2205)=6.1(x-250)

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

u r asked to find weight when amount of fuel is 19 gallons put x=19 gallons in the linear relationship & find y. the value of y will be the answer

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

gt it ?

Thank you so much!
