Dont get me wrong, Open Study is an excellent site. The people here are brilliant and super friendly, but sometimes, this site has its flaws. For one, I have waited almost 2 hours for my question to be answered. Nobody came. The science section is DESERTED right now. Its super dramatic at times, and some people just come to chat. People throw medal parties or post spam and Moderators dont notice. No matter how many people you tag, sometimes nobody EVER comes and your question goes unanswered. Openstudy is a place of help and smarts. If you look deep down, you find the bad parts. *Moderators do their best and they work hard. No hate, mods <3

We need to strengthen Open Study as a family. Everyone who does come to help, and everyone who loves Open Study, eventually get run off or quit because of all of this. @tootzrll Told me today that she wanted to quit. That Open Study tore her in two and it was too dramatic. I'm not saying this because I dont want her to go (which i dont), Im saying this because something needs to be DONE ABOUT IT.

@AloneS @rebeccaxhawaii @truwhovian11 and @Qwertty123 are just a few great people I've met on Open Study. They make Open Study an amazing place of learning. But I've experienced terrible things on here that make me angry. This site is falling, whether we notice it or not. Lets help keep it up and get rid of the bad things. We cant ignore it forever.

There are many ways to get help
1) You can ask Qualified Helper questions :) by paying money (buying owl bucks!) your question will be yellow it will stick out to users and a Qualified Helper will come and help you! :) (for now this is only for math questions. And only in the Math Subject.
2)
You can tag people use the "@" symbol like this @ TheSmartOne
3) You can post a link to your questions into the chats located at the bottom of the screen :) http://prntscr.com/763xln

What you said is true, but we're all volunteers so if you really want people to help you, you should try to make your question interesting, and if it's not interesting to you it probably won't be to many others.

Nothing is without flaws. I agree with you on the fact that the drama gets out of hand sometimes, along with other issues like medal spamming etc. @superwholock4445 I seldom use the chats that much, but that's just me. Personally, I avoid drama because eventually you'll get cut by the sword. sadly it might not be something that can be completely stopped, that's all based on what the user wants out of this site. but again you make some fine points.

Also, don't forget that this is a site where people volunteer as @astrophysics said. So if someone doesn't come to answer your question, don't necessarily take it personally. I think it would be good to have people organized in the subjects based on the number of medals they have rather than smart score, as a means of dealing with that problem. If you really need urgent urgent help and if it's in say math for instance you could probably purchase some owl bucks and just ask one of the qualified helpers.

Yes - chats get out of hand. But you need to realize that Moderators are people too with their own lives. We can't spend every moment on OpenStudy; and sometimes the site will not have a single moderator online. That's why its' up to the Community and Community Suspension rules to determine what is inappropriate or not.

Another reason chat reports are often ignored is simply because there is not enough information. We cannot immediately know which chat the content was reported in. So, when filing out a complaint VIA Chatbox; please use a similar format:

Chat it took place:

This will help us be more speedy on our system.

this is totally true I feel like he moderators need to pay more attention and I feel bad for the ppl were there questions don't get answered. PPL who are reading this and moderators also I think if open study doesn't get there act straight ppl are going to leave this site and move to a different one.

They all say the want to quit. Yet they log on 5 time after. Again, openstudy was originally made for college students kiddo. Now it's new generation causing a fuss, in my days? Well I can't freaking remember....maybe you should take these into consideration. I like building a bond with many users here, it makes me smile when I see a "Hi ana" or "hey ani"
This might be just me, but it is truly annoying when I see a post like this from a newish user.

I agree with 'ya, the website needs improvements, however, from what I've seen, lots of people had their questions answered, and I don't see spam at all (I'm rarely here, though, so what do I know?)
