Find the circumference and area of a circle with a diameter of 10 inches. Leave your answers in terms of pi.
C = 5π; A = 20π
C = 10π; A = 20π
C = 10π; A = 25π
C = 5π; A = 25π

@Qwertty123
OpenStudy (error1603):
C= 10pi, A= 25pi
OpenStudy (12g):
can you show me how to do it tho
OpenStudy (shootingstar28):
Circumference of a circle = 2(pi)r
So, r = 5, 5 * 2 = 10, so the final answer for C is 10(pi)
Area of a circle = (pi)r^2
So, r = 5, 5 squared = 25, so the final answer for A is 25(pi)
You can try figure out the rest from there... :3

Error1603, you need to stop giving direct answers..
And you have an equation for the Circumference which is:\[C =\pi(d) \]
or\[C =2\pi(r)\]
OpenStudy (12g):
ok thanks
OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):
The easiest one to use here would most likely be C = pi (d)

Good job @ShootingStar28
OpenStudy (shootingstar28):
Thank you.. ^-^
