proteins can have many different functions because of the many different ways they can be folded by the amino acid sequence. There are so many ways amino acids can be brought together by peptide bonds. By changing structure it changes function.

yes. enzymes (which are proteins) catalyze reactions, proteins form antibodies that fight against disease and illinesses, and protein can transport things throughout the body. hemoglobin(a protein) transports oxygen.
