A fighter jet lands on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier that has a length of 300.0 m. The jet must reduce its speed from about 153 km/h to exactly 0 km/h in 2.0 s. What is the jet's acceleration? (The equation is Acceleration (a) = Final velocity (vf) - Initial velocity (Vi) divided by time (t)

OpenStudy (grocerybear1):

a=-76.5

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well. you're pretty much given all values there initial velocity is 153 when the plane lands needs to get to 0, to final velocitiy will be 0 when it starts off is 0seconds and needs to do it in 2.0seconds |dw:1456275251786:dw|

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

I assume the accelartion will be the rate of change between those two points, and thus their slope

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hint: will be negative, notice the decreasing function line
