Will give medal, how do I solve this? Image below x = 110 145 220
Honestly? I have no idea.
I think you'll need to look up formulas related to tangent lines and arc lengths. Have you a textbook or printed study guide? If not, have you a study guide available online? What I observe is that you have two lines tangent to the circle of unknown radius, and that these two lines meet at an angle of 70 degrees. X represents the length of the arc of the circle that connects the two points of tangency.
I have an online study guide, I could try looking over it again, see if anything begins to click.
I've found a problem similar to it, the equation given is m<1 = ½ (m<arc AB, [in my case 70]) So.. M<1 = 1/2 (70), which would give me 35 correct?.. never mind that's not an option. Now I'm even more confused.
