OpenStudy (leozap1):

Fan & Medal.... Seventeen members of Tracy's family are going to an amusement park during the week of their family reuion. Adult rickets cost $32.50 each and child tickets cost $28 each. If the total cost for admission to the part is $530, how many adults went to the park? 5 7 10 12

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Okay, give me a minute.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Okay which do you think are incorrect?

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

@leozap1

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Sorry, you're busy helping another student. I'll help you out, multiply 32.50 by these numbers, then 28 by how much of 17 is left. Then add the products together to give you 530.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

-.- "student" I meant person.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Hint: 5 & 7 are wrong.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Bye- bye, good luck and if you have any other questions just mention me.

OpenStudy (leozap1):

I think it's 12, but I'm confused because I don't know if it means 17 people total or 18. The way it's worded confuses me. :/

OpenStudy (leozap1):

It says "Seventeen members of Tracy's family". So would that mean 17 + Tracy? That would mean there are 18 people instead of 17. Then again, it doesn't specify if Tracy is going, so I'm not sure.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

....I never thought of that. give me a minute.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Nope it's 17 not 18, If it were 18 none of the choices will add up to 530 and yes it is 12

OpenStudy (leozap1):

Okay thanks! It was kind of confusing the way it was worded, I guess I was over thinking it.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

I tend to do that a lot.
