The diameter of the larger circle is 10.5 cm. The diameter of the smaller circle is 4.5 cm. What is the approximate area

OpenStudy (denonakavro):

Sorry if I am late, but I will help you.... So the area of a circle is pi times radius^2 Lets find the the area of the bigger circle First divide 10.5 by 2 to find the radius which is 5.25 Now do pi times 5.25^2 which will give you approximately 86.55 Now for the smaller circle Divide 4.5 by and get 2.25 pi times 2.25^2 will equal approximately 15.9 So the big circle has an area of 86.55 The smaller scircle has area 15.9 YOu can figure out the rest hopefully :)
