I really need some help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which equation does the graph below represent?
Please don't just give me the answer. I need an explanation on how to do this. Any video links or anything would be great help! y = fraction 1 over 4x y = 4x y = fraction negative 1 over 4x y = −4x
hi
correct
Your method is correct but do you still want explanation?
Yes, @FaiqRaees please :)
Okay so the general equation of any straight line on a Cartesian plane is \[\color{#0000ff}{ \displaystyle y=mx+c }\] where m stands for gradient (change in y / change in x) and c stands for a y-intercept. You can find out the value of m just by \[\color{#0000ff}{ \displaystyle m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}}\] After find the value of m, plug it in y = mx+c and then use any set of coordinate to find out the value of c.
Thank you @FaiqRaees :))))
