Your friend Delta recently bought a house along a river. in describing it, she says that the river is wider than it is deep. she always says that it flows through a very flat valley and that there is a lot of water flowing through it. she then asks you if she should be worried about erosion and flooding. What should you tell her? A. The low gradient and wide channel make flooding unlikely B. The low gradient and high discharge make flooding likely which may cause sheet erosion. C. A lot of erosion should be expected because of high discharge always causes heavy erosion.

D. A lot of erosion should be expected because of low gradient causes streams to overflow. Please help!!

OpenStudy (richtofen):

i would say c

OpenStudy (angelica1227356):

Thank you :)

OpenStudy (angelica1227356):

Not C

So - WHY did oyu take a stranger's direct answer as any better then your own? There was no help given, or reason why he 'wpuld say C'. MANY answers given here are just plain wrong - you should look for guidance, and information, and get some confidence to make your own decision. As for this question - it is not my area of knowledge but it seems evident that oyu are studying the characteristics of flow and erosion. Are you sure that this information is not directly covered in your class or text?

OpenStudy (angelica1227356):

Well I tried multiply times just needed guidance!!

OpenStudy (richtofen):

i said that i would say c im sorry if i offended anyone
