May someone please help me with the problem Im about to post below

OpenStudy (wintersuntime):

Find f(-2) and g(3) f(x)=\[x^2+3x+1\] g(x)= \[x^3-2\] f(x)-g(x)

OpenStudy (vhtran):

Plug in "x" into the function

OpenStudy (wintersuntime):

Do you mean the -2 or 3 ?

OpenStudy (vhtran):

for f(-2), x is equal to -2

OpenStudy (vhtran):

yup

OpenStudy (vhtran):

so if you plugged in -2 for every x there is (in the f(x) function), then what would the equation be?

OpenStudy (vhtran):

\[(-2)^{2}+3(-2)+1\]

OpenStudy (wintersuntime):

oh okay thank you

OpenStudy (wintersuntime):

I get it now

OpenStudy (vhtran):

:D goodluck ^-^

OpenStudy (wintersuntime):

thanks ^-^
