For a creative writing project, I have to retell a scene from the Odyssey in another genre. I decided on science-fiction, but I am completely stuck here. How would I go about rewriting it? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Well I don't really know how I would directly answer your question-- but I think that you should brainstorm ideas first before you begin writing, don't even think about it-- just come up with anything, even if they are a bit ridiculous. Once you think that you've found the idea that you want to use-- use it and then let your mind fly away. Use imagination, because this is what your assignment requires. I hope that this helped!

I don't know if you've read the Odyssey or not but I'm doing the scene where Odysseus’ ships are attacked by the Laestrygonians. I just don't know how to relate that in science-fiction. Thank you so much for your help though!
