OpenStudy (shamil98):

statistics Stress on the job is a major concern of a large number of people who go into managerial positions. It is estimated that 80% of the managers of all companies suffer from job-related stress. a) What is the probability that in a sample of 200 managers of companies, exactly 150 suffer from job-related stress? So, P(x=150) and by using the binomial distribution formula i get 0.0149 but my book's answer says its 0.0151 am i doing something wrong? (n = 200, x = 150, p = 0.8, q = 0.2)

OpenStudy (dan815):

first of all we need to know the standard deviation for this sample size

OpenStudy (shamil98):

isn't it just using the binomial distribution formula? neglecting the need to find the st dev

OpenStudy (shamil98):

and even so we have no mean

OpenStudy (shamil98):

wait nvm mean is \[\mu = np\]
