In my opinion the answer is C. Israel is threatened by almost all of its surrounding countries and the US has defended it for years. It is struggle over because it is the home of the "Holy Land" so maybe that is something you can research.

Iran has made comments to Israel saying stuff like "We will wipe Israel off the face of the Earth" Israel is probably the country we have the best relations with.... this would throw off the United States economy if Israel went to war with Iran.

This makes C the only logical answer.
