Proportions are equal fractions. We have 48 over a number we don't know, "x," which is the variable we can find with this, representing her total savings. And 70 over 100 because it's a percent. :) In other words, 48 = 70 And x = 100, bc that's the total. Get it ? ^.^ \[\frac{ 48 }{ x } = \frac{ 70 }{ 100 }\]
