What is the capillary action of water ? A- it's ability to move in the direction of gravity In a narrow tube. B- it's ability to move against the direction of gravity in a narrow tube C- it's ability to move toward areas of lower saline concentration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its should be B. because if you put a straw in a clear glass of water the water gets sucked up in the straw despite the gravity pushing down on the water. this eliminates A. http://water.usgs.gov/edu/capillaryaction.html this site should help out some more

OpenStudy (vijeya3):

I agree with @D4RKSOUL ..It should be B)
