A typical doctor's appointment lasts 25 minutes. Last year Dr. Renshaw spent 1072 hours seeing patients. About how many typical appointments were scheduled for that number of hours? Round to the nearest whole number. A) 2350 B) 2496 C) 2573 D) 2600

since you have hours and minutes, you need to change one so that they both have the same unit of time. 1072 hr * (60 min/1hr) = 2572.8 min
ok!
then 2572.8 divided by 25
right?
Total time = (appt time) * (# of appts) yea you have it
so then it would be102.912
that's not an answer choice...
sorry i mistyped, 1072 hr * (60 min/1hr) = 64320 min
lol ok!
Total time = (appt time) * (# of appts) 64320 = 25*a
64320 divided by 252572.8
i typed the answer the first time, sorry
lol i mean the answer is 2572.8
so im guessing its c!
yeah, it says to round it
thanks so so much!
since # of appointments is a whole number welcome
Here is what it said how to do it: First, convert 25 minutes to 5 12 of an hour 5 12 hour 1 patient = 1072 hours x patients 5 12 x = 1072 2572.8 Round to 2573
yeah, they decided to change to minutes instead, and used 'patient' instead of '# appointments'
