I'm through with OS. Logging out for the last time.
-Making Suggestions is totally worthless, they have never done anything about it and are probably just ways to get medals nowadays. -WE NEVER GET UPDATED ON IMPORTANT ISSUES. I for one had NO IDEA Eric wasn't coming back. Who told me? Where did he discuss this? I didn't see it on Yammer or OS. -I rarely find users who actually know how to do simple things in math. If their calculator can't do it, they can't either. They're just here to get answers. -Preetha hasn't been active in a while either, when she was the only admin that seemed to be. AND ON, AND ON, AND ON It never stops, it just keeps growing. This snowball is going down hill fast, and it's getting bigger. The site is NEVER updated, and the lag gets worse by the day. The users are unbelievable ignorant. A lot of users I see don't even know that this symbol "⋅" means multiplication. And they can do ANYTHING without their calculator. This is sickening, and it just keeps growing. I'm finished with this. Farewell. I always felt that I wasn't wanted. My achievements meant nothing. Now it's over. I'm not returning. Eric's disappearing was the last straw..there's no hope left. I'm logging out, never to return. May this be a lesson to you.
@iGreen NUUUUUUUUU ;-;
Farewell!
Why is everything just falling apart...
>People join the site. >People leave the site. You can't just have people joining the site...
Bye bye good luck in the future :-) Sorry that you are leaving. But I think OpenStudy is improving bit by bit. Eric left for other reasons. Besides OpenStudy got rid of lag. Things take time everyone wants everything rushed. People always are criticizing the site. OpenStudy this OpenStudy that why can't we all appreciate what the site has offered us? 90% of the time, people who claim that they are leaving don't even leave.
also OS is late on 2 months about the schoolarhip. it was scheduled on 4th Jan.
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @AlexandervonHumboldt2 also OS is late on 2 months about the schoolarhip. it was scheduled on 4th Jan. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Preetha is still reviewing applications LOTS of people applied so it will take time :-) not easy to read through 350+ applications.
^ yep yep
rekt=who's alt? =pooja?
@iGreen, others appreciate the work you have put into OpenStudy. You believe they don't, but that's your opinion. I can't change your thoughts, but I can maybe change your mind. Things take time as @Pooja195 said, and I feel you're not giving it enough time, although I don't know completely how long you've been waiting for things to be resolved. I've watched you nemerous times explain problems to others. You never knew it, but I have. Please consider what you've said because as you probably know, OS is one of the greatest sites out there. I agree, because if it wasn't, I wouldn't even be here. :)
^ I agree with you! @gottennis121 :D
:)
Goodbye, @iGreen.
Are you seriously complaining about people not knowing what a multiplication sign is? If they donʻt know, then tell them. This is a study and learning site. If someone doesnʻt know something, teach them. If there is a large group of people who donʻt know, and you canʻt teach them all, then create a tutorial and direct them there. Also, we all experience the lag here on OS. I donʻt complain. All sites have to start somewhere, and considering the circumstances, I understand their situation. This is there job, their source of income. They have to take a cut while also keeping this place alive and breathing so people can still learn. I also understand that some users donʻt want to be "taught." Just yesterday, I was trying to help a user with his/her question. Another user had a relationship with the other user, in which he/she would provide direct answers, and they would move onto the next question. I called them out on it and ask the user if he/she wanted me to explain how he/she could find the answer himself/herself without the aid of this user just giving direct answers, and thus, not learning anything This is what he/she sent me: http://prntscr.com/a8b66v You just have to report those people, and then move on. Iʻve met a lot of amazing people on this site who pour their heart into helping people, and then meeting those people who are ready to learn, and they truly want to be taught. You just have to see through the bad and find the good.
You just became an Ambassador though!!! :(
Good Bye iGreen! I have no idea who you are and probably never will for that matter since your leaving but good luck on your journey and I wish you the best in what ever you choose to do love!
Just when you finally made, Ambassador, you leave.
Very disappointing.
Congrats bruh!
I'd check in everyday. Till I got ambassador, which I have now. So I am more active.
iGreen became ambassador in the last cohort, and completed all of his training. He just got his A now. He belongs to the cohort before you peeps.
He still is an ambassador, as of now, even if he has quit the site. \shrug
he quit? O.O
Eric leaving OS has nothing do with us. Eric leaving OS is his choice. If you checked yammer, you would find that it was discussed that he was never coming back. Users are not as smart. That's why they are here. Preetha is active on Yammer. Not so much on OpenStudy
And, Shad has brought up some valuable points about uneducated users. :)
So if were not smart were here ;~;
No, the reason they are asking questions is because they need help. No one is perfect.
>>People join the site. > >People leave the site. The same people many times return to the site.

"I can't change your thoughts, but I can maybe change your mind" What does this even mean???????????????????? "But I think OpenStudy is improving bit by" And why do you think that? There are hundreds of "glitches" on this site, and they're increasing day by day. "All sites have to start somewhere" OS was created years ago, and you make it sound like it was created 2 weeks ago by saying that. Also, Eric left because the site was trash. He basically hated it and didn't want to come back.
He didn't leave because the site was trash. He left rather because of certain users and the lack of better mod tools.
R.I.P
Pratically saying that the site was bad.
