Does sunlight increase or decrease the concentration of oxygen in the water of a creek?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

We could think about this in one way, but I'm not sure if this ideology is correct. My way of thinking here is that with an increase in sunlight the temperature of the water in the creek will rise. Gases that are dissolved in liquid become less soluble as temperature increases. Therefore, if the temperature of the water is raised the Oxygen dissolved in the water will become less soluble which in turn will result in a lower concentration of Oxygen in the water of the creek.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Seems reasonable to me.
