OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Pi is an irrational number that goes on forever pi never stops 3.1415926535...

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Its more than just that at @skullpatrol it can go with many formulas, sphere, circle, cylinder, cone

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pi=3.14

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Most of us already know that pi can be approximated by 3.14 (or 3.14159 or 22/7, etc.). What is important here is the deeper meaning, which skullpatrol has aptly explained. See his first post, above. "Something that can go with many formulas, sphere, circle, cone, etc." is not an adequate definition of pi. For those interested in pursuing this question further: Why not do an Internet search for pi?
