Carpet costs $12 per square yard. How much will it cost to carpet a room that is 180 square feet?

first of all you need to convert yard in feet or inverse feet in yard

The first guy is wrong. 12 is in yards but 180 is in feet. 1 yard is 3 feet. So a carpet costs 4 dollars per feet. To find the answer you have to multiply 4 by 180 and you will get 720
