Japan emerged as a world power after it had withdrew from the league of nations. They then conquered the Chinese province of Manchuria as well as other countries. This made them a militaristic country by far at this point. However, after World War One it was the defeat of Germany and the victory of the Allies and fall of the Central powers.... The allies made sure to make Germany pay for reparations and give certain conquered land back to its rightful owners. This indeed left them weak and humiliated as everything they worked for is not only lost but they had to pay for the damage as well. With that being said your correct answer is A.
