OpenStudy (hhopke):

Exponential Functions. Need help finding x. Equation posted below.

OpenStudy (hhopke):

\[25(2)^x=325\]

OpenStudy (hhopke):

I've reduced that to \[2^x=13\] and that to \[\sqrt[x]{13}=2\]

OpenStudy (hhopke):

This needs to be a real number answer rounded to two decimal places. Solve for x.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

take logs of both sides ln 2^x = ln 13 then use on of the laws of logs x ln 2 = ln 13

OpenStudy (radar):

@hhopke If you will perform the operation (last line) in the post above, you will get what you need.

OpenStudy (radar):

Or to make it simple, x = ln13/ln2
