@KyanTheDoodle HELP

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

A simple subject is the basic topic of a sentence. For example, "Rachel decided that perhaps going to sleep at 7 A.M. wasn't the best idea." Rachel is the simple AND complete subject.

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

i still don't understand @KyanTheDoodle cause in some sentence the complete subjkect is not just one word

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

That's usually how it works. Like in the first one, "islands" is the simple subject, but "islands of Hawaii" is the complete subject.

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS ONE!! 4. Arizona and Hawaii are the only two states that do not observe daylight savings time.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

This one seems confusing too. But if I had to guess, I'd say "states" is the simple subject, and "Arizona and Hawaii" is the complete subject.
