can geometric sequences be division?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

If you mean "can we divide each term by a certain number" (as opposed to multiply each term), then yes we can Multiplication and division are linked together Example: Multiplying by 1/2 is the same as dividing by 2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Here is a geometric sequence where each term is divided by 2 to get the next term 112, 56, 28, 14, 7, ... which is the same as multiplying each term by 1/2 eg: 112 * (1/2) = 56
