How to start calculus ?
@ParthKohli
I'm sure Redcan has a lot to say about it. Just start it like you'd start anything else. Get comfortable with new ideas.
I was going to say, limit def of derivative. or limits in general.
You may want to take a look at this site: http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/CalcI/CalcI.aspx It will help your tremendously. Good luck!
Open courseware, MIT 18.01 is good if you'd rather have someone talking at you.
Get stupidly good at factoring.
Many times you will have the correct answer, but you will not have the answer simplest forms. This requires a good grasp on factoring. The ideas in calculus are not all that difficult to grasp. Like it is said above start with limits.
Do i need to learn functions too ?
precalculus is a prerequisite, but i think you're ready and good to start calculus... watch 1-2 lectures and see if you can follow : http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-01sc-single-variable-calculus-fall-2010/1.-differentiation/part-a-definition-and-basic-rules/session-1-introduction-to-derivatives/
Thanx a lot to everyone :)
