So we need to find the formula for each of those shapes (The area of a rectangle and the area of a half-circle, since those are our shapes)

The area of a half circle is \[\frac{ \pi r^2 }{ 2 }\] The area for a rectangle is length times width Let's do one at a time. If the length of the rectangle is 26 and the width is 12, how would we find the area?
