All we need to do is plug in the given coordinate and solve for the b value. The equation will end up being \[3=-\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }(2)+b\] Now we need to multiply what can be done to get\[3=-1+b\] Finally to find the b value, we need to get rid of the -1. To do this, we need to add 1 to both sides to get\[4=b\]
