Marissa wrote this equation for the area of a rectangle. 18.3w = 433.71. What is the width (w) of this rectangle? A. 7936.9 units B. 415.4 units C. 23.7 units D. 452.0 units

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

How do you get the y all alone by itself?

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

ODVIOSLY THE ANSWER IS C!:):)

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

The y? XD

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

W lol sorry!

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Add subtract divide or multiply?

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

Ohhh, lol XD Divide?

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

W=23.7units

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

@x__hazel__x do you GET WHY the answer is C!

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Yes cause if you divide by the number that is there 18.3/18.3=1 and than you have your y so that turns into just y and whatever you do to one side you have to do to the other so divide 18.3 to the other side! Than you should get w=?

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

I think so, I saw that the equation is:\[\frac{ P }{ 2 } - l\]

OpenStudy (123ab456c):

EXACLY! GREAT JOB!:):):)
