divide 20 by 4 what do you get ?

OpenStudy (ihelpyoulearn):

-20 divided by -4=5

OpenStudy (dinah_rose):

well when you divide a negative by a negative you get a positive answer. so just do 20 divide by 4 an thats your answer. so -20 divided by -4= 5

I always wonder why people here would tear into themselves with statements such as "I'm horrible in math." Why not "Math is hard for me and it'll take me extra effort to learn it, but I can do it in the end."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG ya'll need to stop giving me medals like really.....I wish I can take them and hand them right back! :)

Remember these rules. 1. A positive number divided by a positive number gives you a positive number. 2. A positive number divided by a negative number gives you a negative number. 3. A negative number divided by a negative number gives you a positive number.
