How long would it take a car to travel 200 meters, if it were moving at a speed of 20 meters per second?

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

i think 10 sec. but i am not positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Umm...

OpenStudy (freckles):

use equation speed=distance/time

OpenStudy (freckles):

you will solve the equation there for time

OpenStudy (freckles):

time*speed=distance so time=distance/speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, would it be 20 x 10 =200 and the answer is 10 sec. or is it more complex.

OpenStudy (freckles):

no just divide 200 meters by 20 meters/sec

OpenStudy (freckles):

which gets you 10 secs as you have

Oh, thanks!
