OpenStudy (conqueror):

A strange fact

OpenStudy (conqueror):

I've realized that new users tend to lose connection more often than regular users.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Which is probably why they leave OpenStudy.

OpenStudy (callmeparker):

Indeed a strange fact :/

imqwerty (imqwerty):

thats true many of the new users leave or like they come back after a long time but maybe they had some doubt and it got cleared and then they don't need help anymore so they don't come..

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Yup, some people might come for just one question. :P

OpenStudy (conqueror):

They come for just one question, because they lose connection before asking another.

OpenStudy (kamibug):

How can they lose connection more often than us I dont get it o.o

OpenStudy (conqueror):

I don't make the rules, I just call them.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

It is no coincidence that most of the new users leave the site or eternity.

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Well however it happens it's totally unfairrr xP

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Well, nothing can be done about it.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

How can we be sure that new users actually lose connection more often than regular users though? Any evidence of this or anything?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can personally say this is true...

OpenStudy (conqueror):

@poopsiedoodle If you weren't busy making stupid jokes, you would actually read my observations stated above. And if you were more serious, you would prove yourself to be responsible enough to hold the title of being an ambassador.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Ok I'm asking if you have any evidence to back up your claim though. You have stated claims, but have not provided any evidence to support them, so looking at your previous comments does not help. Dodging the question also does not help. This has nothing to do with me being an ambassador.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

@Abbster2015backup Said she was lagging a lot in chat, havenʻt seen her online since

OpenStudy (conqueror):

As a representative of OpenStudy, you shouldn't be making constant attacks on my posts. And I made a few alts and they experience much lag and disconnection. Does this sound strange to you ?

OpenStudy (beauty18dd):

who watch the moice water by deephta mehta

OpenStudy (beauty18dd):

who watched the movie water ?????? help can u reasd the summaury and i have one question plez

OpenStudy (beauty18dd):

plezzzzz

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Not sure why you think that discussing/questioning a claim is attacking you, but whatever. And no, it doesn't really sound strange. Normally, when one tries to test a hypothesis/theory, one conducts multiple experiments with different independent variables. If your alts are the only things you tested your theory on, that's not enough evidence, because it could just be your internet connection that's causing problems, rather than the accounts themselves. Also, if you're going to only test your idea on your connection, you need a way to test both your alts and your main account at the same time to see whether or not they're all lagging/disconnecting at the same time. The lag/disconnecting could also be caused by external programs/processes that are using lots of resources/data. These are things you should take into consideration before you throw around stuff like this and try to pass it off as fact.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

My alts are the only thing I can test my theory on, because my theory is based on new accounts aka alt accounts. And if you haven't noticed, other users are commenting on the post agreeing with me, so it's not only my own opinion. Think about it.

OpenStudy (beauty18dd):

hllo

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

There's only one user agreeing with the base idea of your post. There is one other user agreeing that your "fact" being "strange". Another user is agreeing that new users leave OS a lot. The one user that actually agrees with the base idea of your post is new, and as such, he does not know how often new users lag/disconnect. Your alts aren't the only things that can be tested. I'm sure you're more than capable of getting other people to test their connections also. And even then, the problem with lagging could be that you have too many active connections to OS. There are quite a lot of things to "think about" before calling a theory a fact.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

How is the new user agreeing with me invalid ? He has a lot of experience since he is a new user.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Anyway, maybe you should stop spamming my post.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I literally just finished explaining that. He has not experienced being an "old" user, and thus cannot compare the frequency of his lags/disconnections against that of an "old" user. Also, discussing a post is not spamming, my guy.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Posting multiple pointless comments, which is what you are currently doing, is spamming.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Would you care to explain how my replies have been pointless? I've been explaining the problems with your method of testing your claim. A pointless comment would be something like coming here and saying "hi". Comments discussing the topic at hand are not pointless.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Your argument being invalid makes your comments pointless.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

"Ambassador General" Lmao

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

You have yet to tell me what's wrong with my argument. Still waiting.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

If only 1 user agreed with what I was communicating, wouldn't that mean I would only have 1 medal ?

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Did you even read what I said?

OpenStudy (anaise):

I beg to differ. That didn't answer shet's Q ^^ I mean poop. I don't see why you can't tell him what's wrong with his argument, I mean it is a valid one.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

``` There's only one user agreeing with the base idea of your post. There is one other user agreeing that your "fact" being "strange". Another user is agreeing that new users leave OS a lot. ``` 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 :o
OpenStudy (conqueror):
That makes 3 users agreeing with my point. :)
OpenStudy (anaise):
Out of the hundreds of active ones. Which is odd, because there are way more users?
OpenStudy (conqueror):
Whatever that means.
OpenStudy (conqueror):
And if you think you're smarter than Jay when it comes to talking about problems with the site, you're very wrong.
OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):
Ok but if you actually read though ``` There's only one user agreeing with the base idea of your post. There is one other user agreeing that your "fact" being "strange". Another user is agreeing that new users leave OS a lot. ``` ``` Jaytex I can personally say this is true... ``` ^ agreeing with the idea of the post ``` CallMeParker Indeed a strange fact :/ ``` ^ saying (s)he thinks it is "strange". Does not confirm or deny that she has experienced more lag/disconnections than "old users". ``` imqwerty thats true many of the new users leave or like they come back after a long time but maybe they had some doubt and it got cleared and then they don't need help anymore so they don't come.. ``` ^ agrees that new users leave and don't come back. Does not say it is because of lag/disconnecting. I know you're capable of reading, so why don't you?
OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):
By the way, ``` ShadowLegendX @Abbster2015backup Said she was lagging a lot in chat, havenʻt seen her online since ``` She's back now.
OpenStudy (anaise):
The thing is, abb is on that account because her main was going 👺 She's a new user on the side note.
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
That is a strange fact indeed.
OpenStudy (abbster2015backup):
I just realized I was being talked about.. but yeah my main account went beserk.
OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):
Happens to the best of us, yo. There are a loooooooot of different things that can jank up an account (like that one time I tagged isuru and broke my account and the whole os feedback section).
OpenStudy (anaise):
Sigh
OpenStudy (anaise):
I just saw another user's messages deleted?
OpenStudy (mythorius):
I'm a new user and I have yet to have the problem of losing connection
OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):
^ what a strange fact
OpenStudy (anaise):
^
OpenStudy (conqueror):
What a strange alt account you have there. :)
OpenStudy (kamibug):
That's not an alt account.
OpenStudy (conqueror):
I was referring to @Mythorius
OpenStudy (kamibug):
Yes, I know him, he's not an alt. :P
OpenStudy (conqueror):
I know him too. ;)
OpenStudy (kamibug):
Good, so you know he's being honest, right? :P ^.^
OpenStudy (conqueror):
Well, I find it strange for a random new account to come on my post and use perfect grammar to back up a certain user's argument.
OpenStudy (kamibug):
I was messaging him earlier and we were talking about this post. He had only recently seen it before he commented. He wasn't going to comment but I encouraged him to contribute his account's condition as well.
OpenStudy (anaise):
Your loss :*
OpenStudy (conqueror):
Think what you want. It is an alt.
OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):
No it's not? Are you saying that new users are stupid and incapable of using proper grammar? That doesn't sound very nice of you, my guy. I used proper grammar when I was new, I don't see why it's weird that other people do. It's also rather odd that you don't think people could \(possibly\) disagree with you. Very strange.
OpenStudy (kamibug):
Please guys the tension is killing me slowly :c
OpenStudy (conqueror):
There, I closed the post. You happy now ? @poopsiedoodle
OpenStudy (conqueror):
I hate it when my post turns out to have a hundred comments.
OpenStudy (mythorius):
I'm no alt, this is my first acct, I've used this site before but I never created an acct until earlier today @Conqueror I just have great spelling and grammar unlike many teens today, and if you want to think I'm an alt then go ahead, but this is the only account I have made and probably will ever make.
OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):
Iʻm a new user and I have been having issues
