Atsie (atsie):

@tootzrll ooookkkkay, I am going to write you an essay ok? Alright, and so what this essay is going to be about is a Tootsie Roll's singing. Okay, and now here is the essay. You started off fairly shaky and I'm guessing maybe you were a bit nervous at first, but then you got stronger and that's definitely good! :) Next thing that I want to note is your tuning with the music. In your Little Things cover I specifically told you that you needed to allow you're vocals to flow properly with some actual music seeing as it was an aceppella. Now that you have, it gives me a better idea of how you need to do things. Everyone's voice is definitely different and tune's differently with various forms of music, and also not everyone has perfect vocals (excluding the fantabulous Adele). But what I think is best for you to do at this point is grab a piano exercise, (there are TONS of them on YouTube) -I can find one for you if you'd like- and go up and down on a scale so that way you may 1) get comfortable with how you sound and also learn to tune better to a musical instrument (we don't want tone deaf-ness, no no sister!) and 2) this will also help you learn where you're range is. The ranging of one's voice (talking of yours atm) leads me to my next point. I noticed that you struggled with the "A-L-L-L" part. This is the part where your "out of tune-ness" really showed up. Don't feel bad. We all struggle with that type of singing at some point in our lives. Its tricky because not only is it in a bit of a different range then how we are naturally used to singing, but its a falsetto type of singing. It's where air goes through like the top of your "throat" (I'm not good at where things are in the body, so bear with me here) and it tends to give a higher airy but rather flavorful part to the song. I think what is most important right now is that you work on acquainting yourself with music and learning where your range ends and where it begin's. From there we could work on expanding it in different way's. But there's something to bite on for now anyways. :)

jabez177 (jabez177):

It is very nice! :) But a tip. Try to time when you breath in. I noticed you didn't take a breath and that's why you couldn't keep the tune when you had to go low. So yeah, that's what my teacher told me. :P

OpenStudy (tootzrll):

thanks steven! but my body is really tiny, so u cant really hear me breathing. i am breathing, its just u cant hear me XD @jabez177

jabez177 (jabez177):

I know. :P But you need to time when you breath to make sure mistakes like when you had to go to a lower tone then you sort of lost breath there.

OpenStudy (tootzrll):

right. thanks! :) @jabez177

OpenStudy (tootzrll):

@batmano3 here ya go
