Fractional Decomposition 1/(x^3(x+1))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

skipping some steps 1=Ax^2(x+1)+Bx(X+1)+C(x+1)+Dx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

substitue x=0 get C=1 and x=-1 get D=-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the problem is I can't get A and B right Im getting they should be zero cause if I compare coefficients Ax^3+(A+B)x^2+(C+B+D)x+C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A and B should be zero but using wolframalpha I get that they are not zero

random231 (random231):

both A and B are non zeroes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh I see what I did wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the top equation should be 1=Ax^2(x+1)+Bx(X+1)+C(x+1)+Dx^3 not Dx

random231 (random231):

yeah

random231 (random231):

i didnt see that too
