A real estate agent made a scatter plot with homeowners' property taxes on the y-axis and the sizes of their homes, in square feet, on the x-axis. The variables have a strong linear correlation and the equation for the least squares regression line is = 0.392x + 638.118. Based on the equation, what should the agent expect the property taxes to be for a 2400-square-foot home in the area? $1578.92 $940.80 $2646.12 $1190.94

do I substitute 2400 for x

Directrix (directrix):

Wouldn't you take y = 0.392x + 638.118 , substitute 2400 for x and crank out the y value which is the tax?

OpenStudy (freemap):

1578.918

Directrix (directrix):

I got $1578.92. y = 0.392*(2400) + 638.118

OpenStudy (freemap):

same
