it could be that tyou transcribed the question incorrectly  if for example the interest was 6.75 % annually  the balance would come to the first choice.

@pina_colada123 @@welshfella I typed the question right and I did the procedures right. It was not annually. It states monthly. The question simply does not supply the right answer selection.
