(-3x/-3)<=(12/-3) divide both sides of the equation by -3 to isolate the x x>=-4 reverse the inequality symbol since you divided by a negative number Solving an inequality is no different than solving an equation. The only difference is you have to change the direction of the inequality symbol when you multiply or divide by a negative number
