WILL FAN AND MEDAL what is the rule when dealing with inequalities?

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Do you have a problem dealing with equalities or is it just this question?

OpenStudy (chrispaul03):

question and problem

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

I can help with the problem I don't really know what they are specifically asking for on the question part of it

OpenStudy (chrispaul03):

that is the question but I have problems with inequalities

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Idk I mean a big rule I would say is switching inequality sign when multiplying or diving by a negative

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Otherwise it's just like solving an equation

OpenStudy (chrispaul03):

really?

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Basically yes

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

2x+5>7 subtract the 5 2x>2 divide by 2 x>1 we can prove this too by putting a number larger than one in so if we put in 2 we would do 2(2)+5 9>7 and that is true

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

So it's pretty identical

OpenStudy (chrispaul03):

Thank you so much

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

No problem :)
