In order to have a comparison-and-contrast essay, you need a topic which can be compared and contrasted with another. 

For example, who would be a better presidential candidate for 2016? Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton? 
(You can compare each of the candidates and also contrast, which is why I chose this example.)
