OpenStudy (anonymous):

D. 8(2/3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you sure it is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should be B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a mixed fraction, not a parenthesis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

2/3x8

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Are they asking you for the equation or the answer? Is there a multiplication sign between the answer choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

We can't answer it for you. We can only help you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we i dont know what it is and i cant calculator it

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Okay, I understand where you are having your problem. Go watch this video. It will explain everything. https://www.khanacademy.org/math/arithmetic/fractions/multiplying_fractions/v/multiplying-fractions-and-whole-numbers

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

It's really short and will help you understand.

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

B because, 2*8/3 2 times 8 is 16 then put it over thre 16/3 reduces to 5 1/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8 days times (2/3) cup of water/day = 8 times (2/3) cups of water

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

@Brian42

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

He is having a problem understanding multiplying whole numbers into fractions.

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Let him watch the video.

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

Tag me if you need anymore help.

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Good explanation @sbuck98 but that's not helping grasp the concept to a beginner.

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

8 days times 2/3s........ You take the two numbers and put them over the bottom of a fraction.

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Again @sbuck98 I posted a video. Let him watch it. It'll help. You can't explain everything over text. You can't explain a concept like that.

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Excellent try though!

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

The video actually shows it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
